      Job Purpose

      The LNG/CNG Project Engineering group is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in Instrumentation and Control (I&C). The Senior Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and designing instrumentation and control systems for LNG and CNG facilities, troubleshooting and maintaining these systems, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The Senior Engineer will also lead and manage projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

      Key Accountabilities

      • Detailed engineering: Define electrical and I&C requirements, develop diagrams, select equipment, and program PLCs for gas facility upgrades. Design and evaluate Safety Instrumented Systems.
      • Control system procurement: Prepare specifications for PLCs, RTUs, instruments, and controls. Develop instrument lists and installation drawings for integration into SCADA systems.
      • Material requisitions and specifications: Prepare detailed specifications for electrical equipment procurement, including power distribution panel boards, valve positioners, analyzers, control transformers, UPS, power supplies, motor starters, wiring, conduit, etc.
      • Compliance and standards: Interpret and apply technical codes, standards, and regulations. Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code, NFPA, ISA standards. Design and commission Ethernet and Modbus industrial networks.
      • Document and evaluate: Prepare documents and specifications for material procurement and labor contracts. Technically qualify prospective bidders. Evaluate proposals for equipment and contracted work.
      • Field support and testing: Provide engineering support during construction and start-up of projects. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required.

      Qualifications

      • ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering discipline required.
      • 4 to 6 years of relevant engineering experience
      • Knowledge of the NEC and other industry codes related to the design of electrical components for the gas system required.
      • Technical knowledge of natural gas system design and operations and engineering preferred.
      • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects within time constraints.
      • Demonstrated high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with a diverse group of company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials in a positive collaborative manner required.
      • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally required.
      • Valid driver’s license required.
