      In this position the Senior Enrollment / Eligibility Representative will play a key role in responsibilities that include reconciliation of Medicare & Retirement COSMOS Membership and Provider data to align the member with an active primary care physician. Day to day activities include, but not limited to: data manipulation, reconciliation, multiple system research, and decision making based on analytical findings. Processor responsibilities also include sending member letter correspondences, navigating and quickly maneuvering in multiple systems, following up with outside teams on missing provider data elements. Employees of the PCP Member Linkage Team work with information from the Provider Data team and UHN submitters, to ensure members are properly assigned and notification letters sent as required. Expectation for employees to meet metric goals while maintaining exceptional quality.

      This position is full - time (40 hours / week). Employees are required to work any 8-hour shift schedules between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time) including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need.

      We offer weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be during local business hours, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Loading new Medicare & Retirement COSMOS member or group data into the enrollment database & update the database with changes
      • Inventory control of Provider termination submissions
      • Responding to member eligibility or group questions & verify enrollment status
      • Creating and sending various types of member correspondence and reviewing/ensuring accurate information is contained within the correspondence
      • Reconciling eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data & submitting retroactive eligibility changes
      • Assisting with PCP - Member linkage initiatives
      • Research PCP information for Member movement
      • Collaborate with other teams to help resolve provider issues and any missing data elements
      • Data manipulation, reconciliation, system research, and decision making based on analytical findings
      • Work in multiple systems while quickly maneuvering between screens
      • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
      • Works independently
      • May act as a resource for others
      • May coordinate others activities

      Required Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma / GED OR 10+ years of equivalent working experience
      • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
      • 2+ years of experience in current role
      • 2+ years of experience in an office setting environment, using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
      • 2+ years of experience with multi - step research, navigating within multiple systems
      • Prior PCP Network Disruption experience
      • Experience with GPS, COSMOS, OR NDB
      • Experience with using Microsoft Word (navigate and create documents), Microsoft Excel (formulas and pivot tables), and Microsoft Outlook (navigate, maintain calendar, create emails)
      • Moderate proficiency with using Windows personal computer applications, which includes the ability to learn and use multiple new and complex computer system applications
      • Ability to work any 8-hour shift schedules between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time) including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 2+ years of experience with member enrollment and / OR billing within the health insurance industry
      • Experience with using Microsoft SharePoint (navigate, alert creation, document submission)

      Telecommuting Requirements:

      • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
      • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
      • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

      Soft Skills:

      • Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
      • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive
      • Ability to multi - task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
