What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review, evaluate, and implement environmental regulatory requirements for various projects, including nuclear and industrial sectors
- Prepare site-specific environmental assessments to evaluate potential impacts of projects
- Integrate regulatory requirements into project work plans and develop compliance strategies
- Prepare and present complex technical reports and assessments
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and environmental professionals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, or related field; MS preferred
- Seven or more years of experience in environmental impact assessments or permitting for complex projects
- Significant coursework or experience in meteorology and applied meteorological assessments
- Knowledge of meteorological and climate data resources
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Consulting Meteorologist status
- Experience evaluating air quality impacts for Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permitting
- Familiarity with dispersion models, including AERMOD and CALPUFF
- Experience with the SACTI2 cooling tower model
- Environmental assessment/permitting experience with NEPA and NRC licensing
