What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and implement federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements for various projects
- Prepare site-specific environmental impact studies and permit applications
- Collaborate with project engineers to ensure compliance with environmental standards in project design
- Develop complex technical reports, including compliance audits and environmental assessments
- Provide guidance and mentorship to associate staff members on project tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; MS preferred
- Five or more years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex industrial projects
- Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations applicable to large industrial facilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in ArcGIS mapping and experience in developing interactive environmental resource maps
- Certification or coursework in GIS
- Experience with AERMOD and preparation of inputs for the software
