      Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Environmental Attorney to join its team. This role demands a professional with 7-10 years of experience in environmental law, particularly with a deep understanding of federal and state environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, a strong track record of handling complex environmental matters, and a high academic achievement.

      Duties:

      • Advise clients on a broad spectrum of environmental regulatory and administrative enforcement issues, including CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.
      • Manage environmental due diligence, site investigations, and transactions involving potentially contaminated properties.
      • Represent clients in negotiations, regulatory proceedings, and litigation related to environmental matters.
      • Draft and review legal documents, including compliance reports, settlement agreements, and regulatory filings.
      • Conduct in-depth legal research and provide strategic recommendations based on evolving environmental laws and regulations.
      • Collaborate with other attorneys and stakeholders to develop and implement effective environmental compliance strategies.
      • Stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and proactive legal advice.
      • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff in their professional development.

      Requirements:

      • 7-10 years of experience in environmental law, with substantial expertise in federal and California environmental regulations.
      • Proven experience in environmental due diligence, site investigation, and management of potentially contaminated property transactions.
      • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and manage high-stakes cases.
      • Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
      • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
      • High level of academic achievement with a strong legal background.

      Education:

      • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

      Certifications:

      • Admission to the State Bar of California.

      Skills:

      • Advanced understanding of CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and relevant California environmental statutes.
      • Exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and negotiate effectively.
