      We are looking for a positive and collaborative Lead ETL Developer, with a knowledge and understanding of insurance and financial data, to Lead and Support the Downstream ETL N0110 team, for both internal and regulatory external reporting. Having this role as an FTE it brings knowledge base and understanding back within Aviva skills for key reporting function of financials and regulatory reporting.

      What you’ll do

      As the technical lead the role will be accountable to analyze and solution improvements, using Informatica best practices and help maintain stability of production reporting for both Habitational and Automobile Insurance data based on Business and technical requirements. The user will need to have:

      • Ability to extract, transform and process Insurance and financial data for purposes of reporting data to Regulators and Financial data to Aviva’s Corporate Reporting engine and Oracle Fusion
      • A clear understanding of how insurance data is consumed and processed by automated scripts to write code to read, analyze and transform it based on technical system requirements to solution the data output formats in a database
      • As a team member they will provide support to the different members of the IT team with technical solutions, defect triaging and support overall business strategies.

      • With the technical expertise, the ETL Developer should be able to solution system requirements and define technical scope and objectives. From the creation of system specifications, they will drive system development and implementation for financial and insurance data reporting from Underwriting and Claims Applications to Internal Financial Applications and External Regulatory Reporting bodies.
      • Assist in preparation of project plans, project progress, and status reports for partners and management.
      • Assist in coordinating and participate in the analysis, design, development, unit testing and maintenance of critical business applications
      • Participate in R&D Introduce effective software development practices and methodologies sought at controlling costs and delivering quality solutions on a timely basis while building a strong well-motivated development team
      • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as necessary
      • Other duties as assigned.

      What you’ll bring

      5+ years’ experience as an ETL Developer working on mid-large projects for design, development and implementation of business-critical enterprise software using Aviva Legacy technologies & concepts

      Strong Working experience in:

      • Integration design and implementation
      • DB2, MS SQL, Oracle, Solaris, Windows & Linux, MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio
      • Informatica PowerCenter
      • Informatica BDM
      • Prostgres

      • Parameterization. ...
      • Scripting Language. ...
      • Organization. ...
      • Creativity. ...
      • Debugging/Problem Solving
      • Keen knowledge of insurance policy data and managing of said data
      • Experience with all aspects of the software development process
      • Experience with standard project management practices
      • Demonstrable ability to prioritize tasks and work within a fast-paced environment
      • Extensive experience with industry standard software development methodologies
      • Proven technical proficiency
      • Extensive understanding and working with Property and Casualty insurance data
      • A highly developed understanding of the anatomy of the policy lifecycle
      • Demonstrated ability to perform high quality work
      • Agile methodology experience
      • Extensive Guidewire system experience
