Take technical responsibility for the provision, stability, availability and useability of highly effective, user centric EUC technology and services
Contribute to the EUC strategy and roadmap; responsible for providing subject matter expertise and architectural guidance to continually improve Wellcome’s EUC technology
Be responsible for designing and architecting EUC technologies and deploying these using best practice architecture and Information Security principles
Identify integration and automation opportunities and designing and delivering these for Wellcome
Deliver the operational activities of the EUC team, ensuring an optimal and efficient service is provided to Wellcome
Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.
Has extensive experience in creating and implementing High-Level and Low-Level EUC designs to enhance user experience of devices and improve enterprise functionality
Has advanced and demonstrable technical experience in architecting, implementing, maintaining and improving: Device Management Tools (e.g. SCCM, InTune, Autopilot, JAMF); Build management, task sequencing and deployment (Windows and/or Mac); Software packaging (Windows and/or Mac); Enterprise Operating System Management (Windows and/or Mac and/or iOS); Security protocols across devices (Windows and/or Mac and/or iOS); Group Policy; Hardware assessments, deployments and maintenance (Windows and/or Mac and/or iOS and peripherals)
Has Advanced experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g. JSON, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, PHP)
Has Advanced capability with Virtual Desktop Environments (Azure and/or AWS and/or VMWare)
Has Demonstrable experience of working with identity management platforms, e.g. Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and associated network authentication protocols

We are looking for a Senior EUC Engineer to join our team.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be part of the Network, Cloud & Workspace (NCW) team within the Digital and Technology department reporting in to the Infrastructure Manager.
The NCW team manage the operational infrastructure and connectivity, both on-premises and cloud, that host many of Wellcome’s applications and services. The team are also responsible for Identity Management and End User Compute at Wellcome. As part of NCW, the EUC team have responsibility for providing fit for purpose, secure and innovative end user technologies. The Senior EUC Engineer will contribute to the strategic roadmap for the provisioning, management and future of user facing technologies at Wellcome.
What will I be doing?
You will play a key role in delivering Wellcome’s end user compute strategy, designing, architecting, deploying and maintaining fit for purpose technologies. You will be providing expertise and support to our 1st/2nd line support teams, as well as collaborating with specialist product lines teams to ensure that operational EUC needs are being met.
You’ll provide day to day technical expertise and will directly work to resolve incidents that have been escalated to NCW through to a conclusion.
In delivering operational excellence, you will take responsibility for projects and the delivery of EUC services. You will also work closely with Wellcome’s strategic 3rd parties to ensure a consistent excellent service is provided to all users, ensuring they can work effectively, productively and safely anywhere in the world.

This role would require a minimum of 5 years EUC experience in enterprise environments, with an emphasis on being comfortable collaborating at all levels in the organisation. A high level of initiative and ownership of operational and project-based activities is essential. A strong communicator who is able to translate user needs to actionable technology outputs is essential for working alongside a breadth of specialised support teams and a very varied user-base.
