      About the Position

      Senior Finance Analyst within the Consumer Bank Finance Team, focus on supporting:

      • Retail Branch Network
      • Partner with finance and LOB leaders on business initiatives; focus on analysis, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance, increase financial transparency, and serve our retail clients. Success criteria include:
      • Demonstrated understanding of finance and profitability concepts
      • Strong problem-solving skills including understanding the problem, identifying root causes, developing hypothesis, and using data/analysis to come up with solutions/recommendations
      • Intellectually curious. Ability to analyze and synthesize internal and external data to provide competitive intelligence and benchmarking for Consumer Bank to guide strategic decision-making
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate the appropriate level of information and messaging – verbally and PowerPoint – to effectively influence and challenge
      • Ability to build strong relationships to collaborate across Finance and business teams

      Primary responsibilities include:

      • Provide proactive ideas, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans, forecasts, performance management, incentive compensation, and product profitability
      • Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision making & understanding drivers behind profit/loss outcomes
      • Coordinating and participating in LOB and product level financial forecasting and planning
      • Provide financial guidance and supporting financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments via the following activities; gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, and measuring profitability.
      • Provide guidance and act as liaison between line of business and selected partners relative to financial performance. Partners include but are not limited to human resources, marketing, credit, technology, accounting, procurement, treasury, and other LOB segments.
      • Partner with team members, business line leadership, product teams, and finance peers & management in Treasury and Accounting on daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks
      • Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting, including but not limited to volumes, balance sheet & income statement drivers
      • Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure (i.e. cost centers, channels, markets) that best reflect the management of the business and facilitates reporting

      Technical/Business Acumen:

      • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
      • Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
      • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen, incl. analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
      • Proactive and effective communicator - strong verbal and written communication skills & willingness to express opinions and consult with others
      • Proficient in project management/proven ability to lead cross functional team projects
      • Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved - ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively
      • Passion for continuous improvement especially related to process, accuracy, and details

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
      • 3+ years of diverse analytical experience in Finance, Business or related field
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access)
      • Experience working with financial system reporting environments a plus (i.e. Workday, IBM TM1, Oracle Essbase, Tableau, etc.)

      COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

      This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $95,00 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
