      Senior Financial Administrator

      Open across UK Locations + Hybrid Working

      Full time (37.5hrs pw)

      The Senior Financial Administrator is responsible for a portfolio of care homes and plays a key role in supporting the business with specific finance administration responsibilities.

      Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the senior financial administrator has a close working relationship with relief administrators, financial administrators, and the finance business partners, in addition to all central teams and managers working in and across the UK Market. The building and maintaining of stake holder relationships coupled with a strong subject matter input into all the financial decisions being considered will be required to achieve the objectives of the job role.

      The job holder will be expected to gain a deep understanding of service provision required by the UK Market, including all aspects that drive and improve value and return. This can include both end customer and intermediary partners, third party providers i.e. Local Authorities and CCG’s and functional effectiveness with the UK Market ensuring that returns from customers are maximised

      Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the role holder will be accountable for providing ongoing financial administration, policy compliance and system support across the Bupa UK, ensuring all finance administration teams are working to Bupa specified policy, procedures and standards.

      You’ll help us make health happen through:

      • Developing a deep understanding of the business processes and funding models required to meet both business and customer needs.
      • Completing financial control reviews in each home within the portfolio once a year providing feedback and recommendations to stakeholders and escalating any risks to the Service Operations Manager.
      • Monitoring progress of action plans, providing assistance, training and support where necessary to clear outstanding action points.
      • Completing follow up financial control reviews as required in line with agreed timescales.
      • Attending quarterly review meetings with Service Operations Manager to review and discuss findings, identify common problems / weaknesses in policy / process and contributing to strengthening controls and effectiveness for further reviews.
      • Working collaboratively with relief administrators, financial administrators, finance business partners, central teams and the Service Operations Manager, feeding back findings and recommendations on day to day issues.
      • Building and maintain key relationships with third party providers i.e. Local Authorities and CCG’s to drive value and maintain effectiveness of associated billing and payment processes.

      Key Skills needed for this role:

      • Proven ability to work on own initiative
      • Professional accounting qualification desirable
      • Extensive experience of financial billing systems and processes
      • Auditing experience
      • Skilled and strong mentor, trainer and facilitator
      • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
      • Ability to champion continuous improvement and customer focus
