The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial leadership of multiple business units within the corporation. Responsibilities include analyzing, understanding, and presenting the business units financial performance to external partners.

*This position offers a hybrid schedule - 3 days in office, 2 at home. Applicants should reside within a commutable distance to our San Marcos, CA headquarters.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize tools including Microsoft Power BI and IBM planning analytics to develop automated reports and BI analytics to help deliver financial performance results
• Present quarterly financial performance to business partners as well as small groups within the quarter
• Build complex financial models to analyze pricing, margins, valuation, new product development, and sensitivity analytics
• Review cost and manufacturing analytics. Understand impacts of material, manufacturing plans and how they flow through the financial results
• Build and maintain BI dashboards that give visibility to performance
• Identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement and lead cross-department teams to initiate change
• Work closely with multiple departments throughout the company including Sales, Operations, Accounting, HR, and IS
• Understand the business unit’s financials top to bottom, be the go-to for all related inquiries, and articulate results
• Increase business acumen through discussions with external partners and develop partnerships through mutual information sharing

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field

Experience Required and Preferred:

• 5+ years of finance experience preferred

What You Bring:

• Proficiency in the use of technical tools including Excel and Power BI
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Self-motivation to find and report financial analytics
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to organize workload to meet deadlines
• Requires ability to set goals and objectives and to set and meet timelines to achieve goals and objectives
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with ERP software such as MAS, JDE, Oracle, SAP; as well as experience with queries is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise planning software; IBM Planning Analytics (Cognos TM1) or similar is preferred
• Strong technical skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use a variety of functions (Lookups, SUMIFS, and Pivoting) to create detailed financial models

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $80,000 - $108,000

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
