      Overview: The Senior Analyst, Financial and Quantitative Analytics will participate in the development, implementation and dissemination of new and/or existing management reporting projects related to Healthcare utilization, cost, and risk adjustment for Inovalon’s Risk Adjustment products and services. The Senior Analyst will support health data analysis initiatives through measurement and evaluation via statistical analyses employing SQL database management tools, and interpreting/presenting observations and findings to department managers.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Design, execute and perform complex clinical and financial analytics as needed by clients and executive management, utilizing MS office suite and SQL database technologies;
      • Develop working solutions to custom client requirements, keeping in mind product capabilities, scope limitations and the impact on integrated products employing analytical methods;
      • Design specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting of administrative clinical data using SQL Server Management Studio 2012. Design, code, test and debug custom SQL queries and generate financial, utilization and cost reports using Microsoft SQL queries, SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services;
      • Prepare documents and presentation materials describing analytic methods, observations and findings of analytics, and/or business logic flow employing MS office suite;
      • Serve as an expert resource to develop and implement analytical and statistical models on large databases based on client requirements; and
      • Perform root cause analysis to identify data flow issues/system performance issues and/or data discrepancy issues; and - Diagnose and address issues as necessary and work with product team to implement correction plan.
      • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
      • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
      • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;

      Job Requirements:

      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the following: analytic and data management or software development environment; developing database driven projects using T-SQL on SQL Server; statistical stratification, sampling and cohort driven data modeling and analysis; and
      • MS Excel (intermediate/advanced level Excel incorporating visual basic, and/or Excel macros, etc.), PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint; and SQL database tools.

      Education:

      • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role offered, or a computer-related occupation; or
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in the job offered, or a computer-related occupation.

      Physical Demands and Work Environment:

      • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
      • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
      • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
      • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
      • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

      The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

      Base Compensation Range
      $78,240 $95,000 USD
