What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for purchase requests and vendor payments
- Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, communication, and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and accounting principles throughout the accounts payable cycle
- Analyze and report data using Excel, including pivot tables, to support financial operations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Procurement
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, including onboarding and issue resolution
- Strong understanding of procurement policies and accounting principles
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with system implementation projects
- Familiarity with UC/UCLA purchasing and accounting systems and processes
- Proficiency in key accounting systems like Oracle, SAP, especially NetSuite, Concur, and BruinBuy
