What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write bug-free, efficient, scalable, and reusable code
- Unit test and take responsibility for code quality
- Coach, encourage, and mentor fellow software developers
- Break existing monolithic applications into modern microservices
- Provide input on architecture, databases, and APIs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 8+ years of professional development experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ recent years of experience with React
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis
- Substantial experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and web development in Java, C#, or Python
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Node.js, especially in microservices
- Experience with containerized application deployments, especially using Docker
- Experience with large-scale data systems
- Experience with message queueing architectures, especially RabbitMQ
