  Topcon Positioning is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of an

  Senior Frontend Developer (React.js)

  Work location: TOPCON Office located in Bologna ( Italy )

  The job can be performed 100% remote ( Italy) with visit to our Bologna office ONCE per week

  Job Purpose

  We’re building powerful tools that automate construction and geospatial workflows — and we’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to help shape the user experience of our platform. If you care deeply about code quality, design systems, and building intuitive UIs that solve real-world problems, let’s talk.

  ? What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of modern, responsive, and performant web interfaces using React.js and TypeScript
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-impact features
  • Design and implement reusable components and scalable frontend architecture
  • Improve UI/UX based on user feedback, usability testing, and your own sharp product sense
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and modern frontend standards
  • Drive performance optimization, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and screen sizes

  ✅ What We’re Looking For

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 8+ working experience in Software Development field.
  • 4+ years of experience in frontend development with React.js
  • Solid knowledge of TypeScript, ES6+, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern browser APIs
  • Experience with state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Recoil) and component libraries/design systems
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, and comfortable working alongside backend teams
  • Deep understanding of testing (unit/integration), code reviews, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience working in Agile teams, with tools like Git, Jira, Bitbucket, and CI tools (e.g., TeamCity, DroneCI)
  • Strong English communication skills — written and verbal — for remote collaboration and documentation

  ? Nice to Have

  • Experience with React performance tuning, lazy loading, and Webpack/Vite optimization
  • Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools, and a good eye for detail
  • Exposure to micro frontends, server-side rendering, or Next.js
  • Interest in mapping, GIS, or geospatial data visualization

  Working Conditions

  We offer a hybrid and flexible work setup that promotes both in-person collaboration and individual focus:

  • Office presence: One day per week at our Bologna office

  • Remote work (Smart Working): Available for the remaining days to support productivity and work-life balance
