      Department Overview

      Gas Operations, Dispatch & Scheduling - Develops work plans to meet our customer, compliance and mandated workloads. The Work and Resource Planner will manage appointment scheduling availability, peak workload season work and resource sharing. Efficiently allocates work by defined priorities, safety focused, monitoring tags to meet customer appointments and QAS standards. Assess any overtime requirements. Dispatch the "right work to the right employee at the right time".

      Position Summary

      Supports the development of timely, accurate, and complete responses to requests for information related to Gas Operations. Responsible for the researching, planning, development, monitoring, and direction of data responses for Gas Operations. May provide analytical and technical expertise to support data requests, regulatory proceedings, and litigation. Supports internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of the data responses, regulatory directives to establish and maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders such as the CPUC, Government Officials, and Customers. Contributes toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability through successful proceedings and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with PG&E’s Legal department, Regulatory Relations, and other lines of business (LOB) to develop recommendations and/or resolutions to avert and/or lessen legal impacts.

      This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (San Ramon, CA)

      Expected travel to staff meetings at headquarters once a month.

      PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

      A reasonable salary range is:

      Bay Area Minimum:$102,000

      Bay Area Maximum:$162,000

      This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

      Qualifications-

      • Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience

      • Five (5) years of related experience

      • Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Political Science, or a related discipline with a strong analytical component

      • Experience with regulatory and customer service issues related to gas operations

      Experience in Research, writing, and analyzing information

      • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Desired
        • Knowledge and understanding of issues related to
        • gas distribution, transmission and storage, gas operations.
        • Knowledge and understanding of PG&E’s gas business operations, generation, procurement, gas transmission, distribution, storage, and case processes
        • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local government, political, and regulatory processes and issues
        • Ability to prepare complex analysis and recommendations to meet policy, regulatory compliance, and rate-related requests

      Responsibilities

      • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of regulatory policy and compliance concepts, utilizing TIL strong understanding of TDs related to Gas Field Service
      • Clearly articulates recommendations and findings in both written and oral communications both internally and externally and to functional management
      • Works with all levels of leadership (up to and including VP) across functions to provide relevant compliance information and direction for decision making
      • Develops and presents alternatives and strategies for responding to requests from various internal/external sources for information (including interpretation, clarification, background, analysis, and recommendations). Conducts non-standard research and analysis for information requests determining the best sources, approaches, or analytical methods to meet the request/need.
      • Conducts data analysis and modeling to ensure alignment with timeliness and metrics operating and customer experience.
      • Identifies individual data anomalies and develops remedies and resolutions to ensure accurate, complete, and timely analysis reporting.
      • Develops and prepares strategic briefing materials, summaries, communications, and recommendations for PG&E management, client organizations and regulators.
      • Responsible for the execution, monitoring, and direction of implemented corrective actions regarding projects within Gas System Operations
      • Monitors and documents specifications, analysis results, and recommendations.
      • Collaborates with leadership and project/team leaders to coordinate the status of plans and workflow for future projects.
      • May provide training, guidance, and instruction to less experienced gas operations (compliance) specialists specific to Gas Field Service compliance work adhering to ~15-17k units of work per month, monitoring due dates, status of unit, extensive reporting, working with partners to meet dates, submitting extension requests/CAPS as needed.
