Help manage and prioritize Ocean Spray’s Political Action Committee (OSPAC) activities, including:
Tracking contributions to elected officials and ensuring compliance with all Federal Election campaign (FEC) Act requirements
Assisting with planning and execution of solicitation campaigns and disbursements.
Tracking progress towards fundraising objectives and assist with solicitation campaigns
Preparing OSPAC report filings to the Federal Election Commission
Track key legislation on priority policy areas at the state-level to:
Help assess the potential impact of the proposed policies on the business, by working with various teams across the business
Serve as primary point of contact for Consumer Brands Association State Affairs Committee, participating in regular meetings, informing the business of movement of key legislation, seeking input from the business, and sharing feedback with Consumer Brands (as appropriate), to strengthen their advocacy efforts, in line with Ocean Spray’s interests and priorities
Work with Head of Government Affairs to develop advocacy strategies for significant state-level legislation, as needed
Help legal colleagues prepare for compliance with new state laws by providing advance notice and information related to pending legislation
Monitor state and federal funding opportunities for the cooperative and individual growers and collaborate with other teams, including Sustainability and Grower Relations, to assist in applying for funds.
Support the Head of Government Affairs with federal (U.S. and Canada) and global advocacy efforts, as needed, including by researching, summarizing, and tracking key policy proposals, as well as updating tracking documents and presentation materials.
Bachelor’s Degree in political science /public policy/government or related field
3+ Years of relevant experience in government or politics
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience managing a political action committee (PAC), including preparing all required Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings and disclosures, as well as leading solicitation campaigns.
Knowledge of several state-level legislative processes and politics.

The Senior Government Affairs Specialist will manage the Ocean Spray Political Action Committee and monitor priority legislation at the state level and develop and implement advocacy strategies as needed. The Senior Specialist will also support the Head of Government Affairs on federal (U.S. and Canada) and global issues as needed.
Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays & Fridays remote.
