- Possess a 1st degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
- Hold a post-graduate qualification in Medical Illustration.
- Demonstrate post qualification experience as a practising graphic designer.
- Have experience of supervising junior members of staff.
- Demonstrate excellent illustration skills using computers with relevant software; Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, InDesign et al. Demonstrate creativity in the interpretation of client's briefs in the medical environment. Demonstrate a high level of graphic design skills. Demonstrates a high level of organisational skills.
- Have skills in teaching and training.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of current trends in graphic design. Job summary
To work as a member of the team of qualified graphic designers and reprographics technicians in Medical Illustration, providing wide ranging graphic and illustrative support to all levels of staff and students within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Oversee the reprographics print service in Lakeside ensuring the efficient and effective production of printed material for the UHB. Assist the Head of Graphics and Print in the provision of the graphics and illustration service.
Main duties of the job
