What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a project manager and/or subject matter expert on various projects
- Code patient identification algorithms and cost and utilization outcomes
- Analyze large claims datasets to understand healthcare-related topics
- Create and execute efficient claims processing procedures
- Derive insights from data and communicate findings to team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or healthcare-related field
- At least three years of experience analyzing medical insurance claims with SAS, SQL, R, or Python
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of medical coding systems
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and payer systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience using MarketScan and/or Medicare databases
- Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools
- Advanced skills in SAS, including macros and PROC SQL
- Hands-on project management experience on claims-based analytic projects
