      Department Overview

      The Human Resources Testing and Assessments team is part of HR Operations and is committed to developing and administering pre-employment tests, assessments, and promotional exams to assist with the selection of the right people with the right skills for PG&E positions. Testing and Assessment manages nearly 20,000+ tests administered annually to screen external applicants and internal bidders for over 2,000 job openings.

      Position Summary

      This role will support the Testing and Assessments team by acting as the subject matter expert regarding PG&E’s testing vendors and will ensure excellent service delivery by resolving emergent issues. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement process and system improvements.

      The role is classified as hybrid (0-3 days per week in office), working primarily from your remote office and Oakland General Office in-person as business needs require.

      PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

      A reasonable salary range is:

      Bay Area Minimum: $ 95,000

      Bay Area Maximum: $ 143,000

      -Or-

      California Minimum: $90,000

      California Maximum: $136,000

      Job Responsibilities

      • Develop and maintain cross functional relationships within PG&E as well as with company-approved vendors.
      • Work closely with internal departments such as Information Technology, Accounts Payable, Recruiting, Job Bidding, and Sourcing to ensure the vendors are meeting PG&E’s requirements.
      • Provide guidance and support to other team members regarding processes and procedures.
      • Resolve concerns arising from internal and external users of the Testing and Assessment team’s services.
      • Work with vendors and clients to improve processes.
      • Execute on required reporting.

      Qualifications

      Minimum:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
      • 5 years of related work experience

      Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial organizational psychology
      • Experience in the use of databases, spreadsheets, SAP working knowledge
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Experience and knowledge of the utility industry and pre-employment testing
      • Ability to create and present compelling business cases
      • Demonstrated ability to participate in multi/cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
      • Advanced understanding of MS Office, Teams, SharePoint
      • Demonstrated skills in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects
      • Self-directed, with the ability to anticipate and identify urgent needs
      • Excellent active listening skills
