Job Description

- Manage the monthly Sales tax compliance process with outside service provider
- Manage the Federal and State universal fund compliance process with outside service provider
- Manage/prepare the US property taxes including supporting documentation and associated filing/payments timely
- Manage Canadian GST/HST, VAT, gross receipts, business licenses and other regulatory filings
- Respond to indirect tax notices and support indirect tax audits inquiries
- Maintenance and gathering of exemption certificates including Federal, State and Local exemptions for various indirect tax types
- Collaborate with Billing & Collections team on customer tax inquiries
- Collaborate with AP team on providing appropriate exemptions to Suppliers and respond to inquiries
- Maintain the tax department filing calendar
- Develop relationships with various tax, legal, treasury, business and accounting personnel throughout the company to gather and analyze data needed for tax compliance
- Obtain a thorough understanding of key internal financial reporting and tax compliance software capabilities and reporting functions
- Recommend process improvement to elevate accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
- Maintain and update monthly process documentations as needed
- Assist with additional projects and assignments as required
- Manage indirect tax general ledger accounts and monthly tax reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years relevant corporate experience in indirect tax, public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with tax software products (Avalara, PTMS, and Anybill), enterprise systems (Oracle), and Microsoft Office products preferred.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail is a must.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.).
- Candidate must be able to work independently or as a teammate with minimal supervision and proven track record at multi-tasking under pressure of multiple due dates and deadlines is vital.
- Ability to be hands on and to adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Role Summary:
The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst will be responsible for completing the day-to-day general tax duties including compliance, audit, planning, systems, and processes for US and Canadian indirect taxes.This role reports to the Director – State and Local Tax.
