What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and mitigate information security risks by identifying, evaluating, and implementing policies and processes
- Provide insights and guidance on information security risk issues to management and team members
- Conduct targeted risk assessments and review results for vulnerabilities and control deficiencies
- Maintain an effective information security awareness program and educate internal teams on best practices
- Ensure business and clinical software applications have adequate information security controls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related discipline
- 3-4 years of related experience, including two years in an Information Services department
- Previous experience with HIPAA/PHI compliance programs, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and audits
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies and security practices, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, ISO, and NIST frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and penetration testing
- Familiarity with data loss prevention and anti-virus software tools
- Knowledge of computer networking, including TCP/IP and routing protocols
- Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
