What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review insurance policy forms, rate filings, and advertising materials for compliance with regulations
- Assist in communication and process improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency
- Conduct research on statutes, regulations, and industry practices to draft responses to inquiries
- Work with division management to interpret new laws and develop updated policies and procedures
- Provide education and communication to insurers regarding regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in regulating compliance in insurance forms, advertisements, and rates
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulation and insurance contract language
- Strong technical and business writing skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and draw valid conclusions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Designations such as CPCU, AIE, CIE, ARM, or NAIC regulator designations are a plus
- Experience in the life & health and/or property & casualty insurance industry
