Owning the strategic direction for Workvivo alongside colleagues in the Digital People Solutions team, and Workvivo, our platform partner, to ensure we are maximising our investment in the platform and ensuring news and content are achieving the most impact with our people
Owning the strategy for our Group Functions internal channels, content and events to deliver our internal communications outcomes in support of Bupa’s global strategy, including:
Working hand-in-hand with other Group Internal Communications colleagues to ensure global campaigns are shared with our head office population in the most impactful way. - Sourcing and creating engaging and exciting content, for our bi-weekly Group Functions newsletter, and daily stories for our internal communications platform and screens. Creating exciting virtual and face-to face-events, and other sessions for our Group Functions population, alongside the Group Functions Events Manager. Owning the branding of our Angel Court head office.
Working closely with colleagues across the Group Brand and External Communications team, to ensure content is aligned across both internal and external audiences
Business partnering with the Group Functions People Director, offering strategic communications advice, and supporting key People announcements and news
Providing internal communications consultancy where required, helping colleagues develop solutions to communications challenges.
Managing the Group Functions Events Manager and one IC Executive.
Supporting the rest of the team where required.
Demonstrable excellence in internal communications and employee engagement within a large, matrix, global organisation
Proven track record of delivery through in-direct (influencing) people management, and on cross-functional (as well as functional) agendas in complex and multi-national environments.
Proficient in using social media platforms to drive audience engagement through captivating content
Proven ability to understand complex communication issues and recognise business-wide implications
Commercial mindset, ensuring that agenda is positioned within the broader business and wider industry/economic context
A positive disruptor with a mindset of continuous improvement, agility and connectivity, applying best practice. Constantly reviews, learns and acts
Resilient and calm. Able to deliver in high-pressure, unpredictable environments, working to tight, deadlines. Able to manage an unpredictable workload to meet changing requirements and switch confidently and knowledgeably between priorities
Excellent speaking/presentation, writing and editing skills, able to coach as well as personally execute
Operates at the most senior levels of the organisation with minimum supervision

The Senior Internal Communications Manager (IC Manager) Workvivo and Group, plays a vital role in the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy and activity to reach and engage our employees around the world. The role holder is part of a team that helps drive commitment to Bupa’s purpose and brand globally, to improve business results by helping our people understand our vision and strategy.
This role focuses specifically on the strategic direction for our global internal communication platform, Workvivo, and delivery of internal communications campaigns to engage our people based at our global head office in London.
The role requires knowledge and experience of the range of internal communication tools and channels; building effective relationships with senior colleagues; and delivery of innovative, best-in-class communication activity.
