This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB.

  Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  As a Senior IOS Developer with Sobeys, you will:

  • Regularly collaborate with members across the scrum teams.
  • Writes and verifies code which adheres to the acceptance criteria.
  • Regularly identify ways to re-factor code supporting continuous improvement of the apps.
  • Support the needs of the scrum team including contributing to the delivery of working capabilities.
  • Contribute to the Digital Delivery roadmap and strategy.
  • Participate in regular code reviews, and help formulate and ensure adherence to both industry and best practices and guidelines.
  • Debugging & analyzing reported issues and Implementing best possible solution.
  • Timely delivery of tickets in every sprint.
  • Actively involve in backlog refinement & client calls, suggest best solutions for issue resolution.
  • Maintaining and improving code quality by following standards coding practices.

  What you have to offer:

  Your experience and resume will show us

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience with proven competency in production software development
  • Comfortable with collective code ownership and pair programming
  • Solid understanding of multithreaded applications
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of the iOS Provisioning workflow
  • Understanding of iOS Member Center users and roles
  • In depth knowledge and/or experience with Swift, Objective-C, iOS SDK, C/C++ programming, Java & Xcode, MVVM,UIKit, Cocoapods, SPM,XCTest, Jira
  • 5+ years of experience in Swift
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and firebase
  • Experience deploying apps to stores (Google Play or Apple)
  • 5+ years experience in building iOS apps
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with Gitflow workflow, CI/CD pipelines, and some parts of the Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong knowledge (SDLC)
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • A solid grasp of fundamental algorithms and mobile applications
  • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
  • Knowledge about the Lean Startup and Agile Methodologies
  • Have an eye for good design, and be passionate about consumer product development in general
  • Work with the product team to design, architect, and ship our amazing applications.
  • Work with other (vendors) engineers through technical collaboration, discussion, and code review to deliver enhancements
  • Keep up to date with the latest advances in iOS development.
  • Help automate testing and continuous integration.

  The salary range for this position in [British Columbia] is [$73,334K - $101,000K per year]. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
