- Provide Jira admin support for Jira Software/Jira Work Management in Cloud (creation, review, changes to custom fields, workflows, screens, permission notifications, etc.)
- Provide Jira admin support for Jira Service Management in Cloud (creating Service Management projects, configuring Service Requests, incoming emails and paging with Opsgenie)
- Be responsible for designing and supporting Pythian Jira integration with our customers ticketing/paging solutions to support bi-directional integration of those systems.
- Provide Jira admin support for configuring Jira add ons (Tempo, Advanced Roadmaps, Scriptrunner, Projectrack).
- Provide input in configuring Jira/Jira SM Cloud to ensure existing and future business needs are accommodated.
- Provide input to training materials and webinars to ensure Pythian employees have all the information they need for smooth transition to Jira/Confluence cloud.
- Collaborate with Support Services team (L1) to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge on how to support Pythain employees during this transition.
- Be part of Agile implementation process, and provide feedback on user stories, backlog grooming and prioritization and estimation.
- Be the go-to source for information on Atlassian functionality and possible add-ons.
- Collaborate with other members of the Enterprise Data and Apps team and other Jira System Administrators to provide suggestions for new features implementation, while maintaining performance and stability of the system

- While we realize you might not have everything to be the successful candidate for the Senior Jira Administrator job you will likely have skills such as:
- Minimum 3 years of experience being a technical lead for Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management (experience with common add ons, modifications to workflows, permissions, screen schemas, notifications, boards, reports, user groups).
- Minimum 2 years of experience using and configuring Jira Service Management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using some of the most popular add-ons: Tempo, Insight, Advanced Roadmaps, Automation, etc.
- Expert experience integrating Jira with other apps like Service Now, PagerDuty, Freshdesk etc. preferrably using ScriptRunner connect, Jira code or Jira automationsExposure to working with webhooks and integrating Jira with other systems is a plus.
- Good understanding of ScriptRunner/Power Script is a must.
- Ability to leverage Jira functionality to create and improve our internal processes.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, by posting updates to tickets, following up on own tasks, communicating roadblocks, being proactive about issues that may prevent the work from being completed.
- Able to follow existing process and document steps needed to accomplish the solutionSome experience using Agile methodologies, including working in Sprints, prioritising work, estimating stories is a plus.
- Adept at understanding internal clients needs and challenging those needs across stakeholdership to identify the most efficient long-term solutions.
- Ability to communicate highly effectively in English, both oral and written, with internal stakeholders at multiple levels.
