- 5+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, or other JVM-based languages.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot and backend system architecture.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to overlap at least 80% of your time with US Mountain Standard Time (MST).
- Startup experience in regulated or correctness-critical industries (e.g., fintech, healthcare, banking, airlines).
- Familiarity with crypto/financial partner integrations.

About the role:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team on a freelance basis. You’ll work autonomously on key backend integrations, collaborating closely with tech leads on projects involving financial and crypto partners.
