      The Senior Learning Specialist (SLS) oversees and manages the deployment, planning, delivery and compliance of service line and sub-service line programming. They are expected to be involved with cross-service-line learning and other key learning initiatives as they arise. This role promotes overall synergies with the firm’s learning strategies. The SLS also manages a range of learning operations functions, including learning administration, vendor management, budgeting, and client experience management. This role needs to effectively balance working very independently while applying a consultative approach to address business needs with the right team members on a regular basis.

      This role works with and reports to the Learning Manager (LM) and Learning Leader (LL) to create deployment plans that forecast the number and location of classes/webcasts/eLearnings, identify target learners, outline communication needs, and prepare and assign instructors. A successful candidate will have strong project management skills and learning operations oversight experience.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Work with the LM and LL to determine the learning calendar, including course offerings, modality, number of offerings, location/time zone, and dates. Support in the process of getting these approved by stakeholders
      • Responsible for translating competency-specific curricula into delivery plans, and determining how those learning events will occur (timing, format, location, technology required, etc.)
      • Responsible for the end-to-end planning, and deployment of complex, multi-day onsite, offsite or virtual learning programs, as well as networking and social events related to those programs.
      • Responsible for the delivery of high-profile virtual and in-person business-sponsored sessions (one-time-offerings) to ensure best practices are being adhered to and continuing education credits are awarded efficiently. Produce or update course materials as needed, including producer guides, PPT decks, and the learning SharePoint site
      • Collaborate with the team to establish learning requirements by level, monitor consumption and initiate follow up in the Learning Management System (LMS)
      • Summarize and review consumption reports managed by LCs for regulatory reporting
      • Identify target audience and oversee roster management for learning programs
      • Lead Train-the-Trainer and Facilitator Preparation meetings as required
      • Organize and participate in post-session debriefs with facilitators (and other stakeholders) with a focus on continuous improvement
      • Compile and summarize learning reports, including Continuing Education (CE) credits
      • Monitor annual budget for select programs, reviewing invoices and ensuring accuracy of coding before sending for approvals and payment


      Skills and attributes for success

      • Strong vendor and facilitator management skills, working closely with providers of technical learning
      • Proven ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed team members, indirect team members, client serving personnel at higher staff levels and support staff
      • Demonstrated ability and confidence working with technology and learning new software
      • Strong project management and prioritization skills, able to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and meet demanding timeframes
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple groups across learning and the business
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Strong coaching, consulting and facilitation skills
      • Ability to support and lead change
      • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
      • Must have proven track record of successfully juggling competing priorities, multiple projects, and senior stakeholder with varying perspectives


      To qualify for the role, you must have

      • 3+ years of experience in a program management role
      • Experience working with a LMS (preferably SuccessFactors)
      • Proficient in advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint (use of pivot tables and v-lookup)
      • Proficient in Zoom, MS Teams, Office 360 and SharePoint
      • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but not required
