What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide full litigation support to multiple attorneys on the Workers’ Compensation Team
- Prepare, e-file, and serve legal documents in compliance with Pennsylvania and federal court systems
- Manage large volumes of case-related documents and maintain attorney calendars
- Assist with trial preparation and review daily incoming mail
- Maintain electronic legal files and support attorneys with invoice reviews and payment requests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a paperless Pennsylvania insurance defense law office or corporate legal department
- Strong working knowledge of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation court systems
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume litigation caseload and document production
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and paperless case management software
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with the PA Workers’ Compensation process and WCAIS
- Resourceful in researching procedural issues and court rules
- Experience handling high-exposure, document-intensive files
- Willingness to attend periodic virtual department meetings and occasional in-person attendance as required
