      Job Description:
      This job is responsible for delivering deep subject matter expertise and end-to-end case management support to the most visible, high risk cases around complex life events that may cross multiple lines of business. Key responsibilities include consulting on highest risk individual employee issues regarding the bank's benefits programs. Job expectations include identifying when a concern requires escalation or engagement with partners while maintaining ownership and accountability until resolution.

      The Senior Life Event Services Consultant must be an experienced and demonstrated self-starter with an excellent track record of success in their current environment. They must also be a strong, decisive, professional who can assess needs quickly, manage competing priorities efficiently and provide and implement solutions to benefit the Life Event Services team holistically.


      Responsibilities:

      • Demonstrates subject matter expertise supporting the most complex and highest risk employee life events

      • Documents key facts and interactions related to the employee's life event in the case management system of record

      • Demonstrates empathy, provides effective and timely guidance, and recommends options and resources

      • Prioritizes according to the most urgent and sensitive employee, manager, or partner needs, engaging other Life Event Services Support teams as needed

      • Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills while providing excellent customer service

      • Maintains confidentiality and protects employee information

      • Oversees the effectiveness of the LES Risk and Control environment to support the operation and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards

      • Provide support for critical events, as needed

      • Manage the Single Process Inventory including the Risk, Controls, Metrics and Activities within the POP tool

      • Coordinate SII/AII/RII, complete Business Continuity Activities and oversee Records Management

      • Perform and review monthly metric assessment; identify potential concerns based on metric data analysis

      • Implement/lead enterprise business control requests

      • Coordinate responses to Risk and Compliance, Audit, and/or MCC

      • Support the overall management of regulatory exams, internal audits, targeted risk assessments and other monitoring and inspection

      Required Qualifications:

      • Minimum 5 years of work experience to include direct and recent experience in a risk management or compliance focused role

      • Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, strong prioritization and time management skills, self-directed and results oriented

      • Proven data orientation and analytic skills, the ability to apply a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning to examine information, interpret results, arrive at logical conclusions, and recommend solutions

      • Ability to synthesize information into a compelling story and present findings in a concise manner for senior level executives

      • Proven ability to build partnerships, address issues with creative solutions and to deliver results

      • Experience developing and successfully implementing new processes and practices with a commitment to strive for simplicity and transparency

      • Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

      • Ability to think at the enterprise level

      • Must be resourceful, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and be able to work both independently, as well as within a team environment.

      • Strong SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel skills required

      • Personal desire to learn and develop; sees coaching as an opportunity vs. a criticism

      • Uses sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, solve problems and make formal recommendations within the plan rules, engaging the plan owners as appropriate.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Highly preferred experience working with Single Process Inventory within POP tool

      • Experience testing or monitoring tools, process, or procedures

      • Experience in escalations and issue management

      • Knowledge of Life Event Services products and processes

      Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

      Pay and benefits information

      Pay range

      $93,400.00 - $126,200.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
