      Our Turbine Systems Engineering Team (TSE) within RWE Offshore Wind located in Hamburg, Essen, Paris, Madrid, Swindon, Taipei and Boston is the key technical interface to the OEM landscape and their new wind turbine developments. The team provides holistic technical services to enable the business to select and deliver the most competitive offshore wind turbine solutions. To strengthen the team we are looking for a Senior Load Engineer (m/f/d) based in Hamburg.

      Your future responsibilities:

      • Manage the Integrated Load Analysis (ILA) process with the turbine supplier and the substructure designer for our development projects
      • Support wind farm certification for loads topics
      • Evaluate lifetime extension and load reduction strategies for our operational wind farms
      • Review loads related technical documentation from turbine suppliers
      • Participate in technical due diligences with turbine suppliers with a focus on turbine loads
      • Support the team’s site suitability engineers for wind turbine lifetime assessments
      • Perform in-house turbine load simulations with DNV Bladed
      • Participate in the development of relevant in-house standards, tools, techniques and processes, support/lead R&D initiatives

      Your profile:

      • Successfully completed university studies in an engineering discipline (or comparable)
      • Good knowledge of wind turbine design and their offshore support structure
      • Comprehensive specialist knowledge of wind turbine load simulations, preferably in offshore wind
      • Comprehensive specialist knowledge of the ILA process from model set-up to certification, WTG controller, post processing e.g. for component design or installation phase and evaluation of load comparison
      • Experiences in DNV Bladed API, Python programming and model validation is a plus
      • Experiences in working within international project organizations
      • Comprehensive knowledge of international rules and regulations applicable to wind turbines, such as the IEC61400 series, DNV standards etc.
      • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
      • Excellent organizational and self-management skills
      • Willingness to travel based on tasks, both nationally and internationally (expected travel time in general
