      Role and Responsibilities

      Samsung Electronics America is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator to oversee the Information on Delivery [IOD] for shipments within our supply chain network. This role is designed to monitor shipments that are in transit from the warehouse to the end customer and work with our 3PL’s/Carriers to ensure on time delivery.

      Responsibilities

      • Serves as a liaison between 3PL and Samsung entities

      • Lead training and enrichment of department staff

      • Develop/maintain/analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports and KPIs to ensure operational excellence

      • Producing and distribution of department reports to various groups/stakeholders within the Supply Chain network

      • Provide status of shipments to various business units within Samsung

      • Download and analyze daily snapshots from TMS and WMS to identify shipping and in-transit status

      • Manually confirm deliveries [IOD] to TMS

      • Manually upload POD’s to TMS

      • Maintain daily communication with 3PL’s and carriers to ensure on time delivery

      • Identify trends and issues that can adversely effect on time IOD/POD collection

      • In depth understanding of logistics industry’s standards and best practices

      • Attention to detail and ability to identify process improvements and streamline existing processes

      • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks

      • Actively support team projects and effectively communicate with team members

      Skills and Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred or 5+ years’ experience with 3PL warehousing, transportation and carrier management

      • 2-4 years supervising a team

      • Advanced Excel Skills (must be able to extract data, V-LOOKUP, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros etc.)

      • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Microsoft Visio experience a plus

      • System knowledge of SAP and TMS required

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Demonstrated ability to analyze information to identify, escalate and make recommendations

      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and active listening

      • Strong time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up

      • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to learn

      • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills

      • Ability to support weekend, holidays, and overtime requirements as needed

      • Ability to travel as needed

      CALIFORNIA

      The salary ranges for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $44.95/hr and $46.00/hr. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
