Job Summary:
Facilitate communication between production, sales, and distribution stages to promote efficient and on-time shipment of finished products to the customer.
Responsibilities:
• Route and manage the company's purchase orders, arrange shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Work closely with Inventory Manager, Operations Manager, and Production Manager to ensure production and shipping schedules are aligned and well-coordinated
• Prepare shipping labels and all product labels as needed for all production runs
• Prepare shipping documents and ensure the Certificate of Origin is provided for each shipment
• Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and customer invoices
• Utilize logistics IT systems to optimize procedures
• Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, or customer concerns
• Respond to and follow up on all inquiries (written and verbal) from vendors and customers related to purchase orders
• Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels; address and prioritize customer backorders
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management
• Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Track and correct shipping errors
• Manage distribution and shipment budgets
• Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
