  What we are looking for?

  Requirements:

  • We require a senior profile with at least 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in Compliance or other control functions (Internal Audit, Internal Control…) will be highly valued.
  • The person must be familiar with CIB activities and business and understand how the main CIB activities (global markets, investment banking & finance, global transaction banking) may give rise to risks related to the compliance functions.
  • Legal or regulatory background will be also highly valued as most of the compliance programs to be managed come from applicable laws.
  • The person must be comfortable interacting with senior management and providing solutions under tight deadlines and a demanding business area.
  • Fluency in English is a must. At least C1.

  About the job

  • Compliance CIB wants to incorporate a Compliance Officer in charge of deploying the BBVA Group Compliance Programs related to the Corporate Compliance and Data Protection disciplines. This person will be responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Compliance & Data Protection programs and control frameworks, such as the anti-trust program, the anti-corruption, the management of conflicts of interest, and the management of data protection regulations, all of the tailored to CIB activities.
  • The main tasks will be related to the development of the Corporate and DPO compliance programs in CIB:

  1. Participate in the elaboration of internal regulations on data protection, antitrust, anticorruption, code of conduct, management of conflicts of interest and other matters related to the disciplines.
  2. Develop a mitigation framework in MIGRO composed of the necessary measures (controls, training, procedures…) and implement it in the RCA control framework.
  3. Advise business units on best practices to approach regulatory compliance with data protection, conflicts of interest, antitrust and anticorruption laws and internal standards.
  4. Coordinate with the corporate teams the necessary developments in CIB to comply with bank commitments and internal regulations.
  5. Participate in the development of the governance and oversight framework to ensure the proper mitigation of the risks associated with the disciplines that may appear in CIB activities.
  6. Promote a Compliance culture within the CIB area with focus on the elements of the Corporate Compliance & DPO programs, by the provision of training and interaction with affected teams, mainly business units.
