- Reporting of monthly impairment performance, providing rationale for variances compared to the plan and presenting results at various committees
- Review of collections performance, systems impacts and key metrics
- Drive the understanding and monitoring of monthly movements in the balance sheet and income statement provisions
- Ensure portfolio is within acceptable provision adequacy levels, including income statement and balance sheet provisions.
- Play a critical role in portfolio monitoring, management and reporting
- Analyze and report on any underlying reasons for changes and shifts on the portfolio
- Use understanding of regulatory frameworks to inform business strategy and decisions
- Drive retail projects where issues span across products
- Initiative portfolio analytics to aid strategic business decision making
- Provide in-depth data analysis, trends, reporting to provide meaningful insights to be used in day-to-day decision-making processes
- Perform regular forecasting for impairments and capital including intra-month forecasting as well as RAF, STP and MTP forecasting
- Actively take part in Stress Testing exercise by reviewing and challenging model outputs.
- Challenge models to be best in class.
- Identify, analyze and drive issues with modeling and implementation teams
- Develop an understanding of data and make recommendations to resolve data integrity issues
- Contribute to model governance process, data management and integrity
- Validate performance of the existing IFRS9 models and recommend changes or enhancements where applicable
- Initiate engagements with various stakeholders for a review of collections metrics, portfolio performance and forecasting
- Constantly challenge established thinking and facilitate improvements in systems and processes
- Key partner in risk appetite and stress testing output
- Report on material issues in the portfolio to senior stakeholders
- Ad-hoc project work for various stakeholders as required
- Governance - ensure that policy and governance is maintained across products
- Ensure external audit requirements are met
- Builds and sustains a culture that aligns to Everyday Banking and Risk’s aspirational colleague experience to deliver the target customer experience and financial performance.
- Ensure delivery of business goals by aligning Performance Development (PD) Plans of direct reports to the business goals.
- Instil a performance development culture through directing the PD process and adhering to the PD calendar.
- Pro‐actively identify development areas of direct reports and compile development plans to address them.
- Attract and retain talent, with the assistance from the HR Business Partner.
- Interview and recruit new members of the team, including determining appropriate compensation levels with input from HR.
- Identify team capabilities and develop a succession plan, with the assistance from the HR Business Partner.
- Initiate disciplinary action process as and when required, with the assistance of the Employee Relations Consultant.
- Act as the first line of escalation for all grievances.
- Conduct monthly meetings with the team to address performance gaps.
- Effectively lead team members and ensure their efforts are recognized.
- Ensure execution of plans seeking to address employee related issues ‐ e.g. Colleague Engagement Survey (CES) action plans.

Job Summary
To calculate, investigate and report the provisions and impairment coverage of the retail products within Everyday Banking. This will include the presentation of the monthly impairment performance to various forums, explaining the drivers for variances against plan, engagement with different stakeholders as well as the analysis of the monthly movements.
The role also requires forecasting and planning, considering the various drivers of provisions and management actions that will impact the impairment outlook, with thorough explanation of the drivers to stakeholders.
Support to business in the form of impact analysis of various strategies, initiatives and plans that will inform the impairment impact of these.
Growth and upskill of analysts within the team to ensure longevity in the impairment team.Job Description
