      Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

      Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions of all the properties, all design, construction, operations and security for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas.

      Effective Crisis Management allows adidas to develop the capability to respond and manage critical situations that threatens to harm the organization, its stakeholders, or the general public in a structured way and deepens its resilience by raising awareness and driving a proactive posture.

      The position is to lead the operational Crisis Mangement to ensure that we “think global and act local” by defining, developing and driving an adequate level of Incident and crisis management across adidas to minimize the remaining risk to an acceptable level by creating appropriate concepts.

      Event Risk provides a secure framework for major events with a global impact for the brand and, when needed, provides consulting services to support local markets in delivering safe events. Attention is paid to the safety of individuals as well as prototypes and samples in the vicinity of major events. For this purpose, Event Risk is involved in the preparation, operation and follow-up of major events.

      As part of this role the areas of Event Risk, Travel risk and OSINT will need be covered by the leader and the team.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Manage and drive the implementation of the strategic and operational plans for Incident/Crisis Management
      • Support and direct market incident communication plan’s (ICP) within HR teams globally
      • Oversees the area of travel risk management and ensures respective processes for travel risk incidents are implemented
      • Develop and coordinate incident communications and response with travel security and event security
      • Oversees the coordination of global major event risk management and the implementation of a Event Risk strategy and its corresponding measures
      • Manages support for security response plans for major events
      • Deliver frameworks to ensure adequate governance and compliance checking of Crisis and incident management processes.
      • Practical embedding of frameworks for auditing
      • Communication of results to head of Workplaces, and all other relevant Senior Management
      • Ensure operational compliance of adidas CM Framework
      • Ensures practical alignment with Business Continuity
      • Collaborate with other Security functions to develop integrated IT systems to allow prompt assessment and response.
      • Incident/ crisis training and workshops.
      • Provide active operational and strategic incident and crisis management support and planning for large-scale global events
      • Implement crew management measures between Travel and Event Risk, to generate additional capacity for event risk, travel risk or crisis management from within the team when events and incidents occur.
      • Lead travel and event risk team including support for planning and implementation of protection standards/priorities for complex large-scale projects

      Key Relationships:

      • Internally – Market Managing Directors and General Managers, HR, Legal, Workplaces, Finance, Business Development, Retail stakeholders such as profit protection teams, Facilities leads and Supply Chain leads.
      • Externally – Manage external vendors and support to ensure a lean internally organisation utilizing external experts where feasible

      Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

      • Knowledge of major incident and crisis management with relevant qualifications in subject matters and requirement
      • Experience in the delivery of Major incident and crisis management projects and programms
      • Experience in event management and event security, especially in holistic security approach with pre- and post-event preparation as a teamlead
      • Ability in planning and analysing.
      • Ability to manage a program and lead workshops.
      • Ability to operate in a complex/multidimensional environment with regards to business resilience, risk, and crisis management.
      • Organization: understands the interactions and dynamics within the market groups, supply chain, and other legal entities, and can navigate through all business functions
      • Processes: skills to handle & reduce complexity of processes
      • Systems: efficient use of data from a fragmented system landscape
      • Make informed, calculated decisions to drive change and ignite passion in project teams.
      • Requirement of significant travel requirement to drive a performance culture.

      Preferred Education and Experience/ Minimum Qualifications:

      • Degree in Security or Crisis Management, Political Sciences, Senior Service or Higher Service of Police, Fire Brigade or Military Officer with relevant use or experience. Higher Vocational training with area of security with additional qualifications and several years of professional experience in crisis management, BCM and event security.
      • Industry recognized professional qualification in CM/BC (i.e., BdSI, TÜV, ASW, Simedia )
      • Experience of relevant industry EM/BC standards (i.e. BCI, BS11200, ISO22301, DIN CEN/TS 17091, DIN ISO 31000)
      • Professional Qualification (CPP, CFI, AMBCI, CBCI, Prince2) or relevant equivalent experience
      • Work experience in security, risk management, business continuity at management level.
