The Digital Transformation unit is responsible to design and to develop the digital roadmap to support the airline industry business transformation. Under the guidance of IATA’s Digital Transformation Advisory Council, the unit is designing and developing digital, data and innovation programs accelerating the transition from legacy processes and technology towards a modern digital airline industry.
Reporting to the Head Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for defining the strategy, designing, and delivering of programs enabling digital transformation across all business area of IATA and the industry.
What your day would be like
As Senior Manager Digital Transformation Programs and under the guidance of IATA’s Digital Advisory Council you will lead the development of the digital programs’ roadmap:
In close collaboration with the other IATA business units, you will identify the technology enablers to drive digital transformation of the industry.
Drive the digital identity program for distribution and onboarding of new market segments including standard development and industry adoption at scale.
Support our commercial teams to build the relevant services in the area of coding and digital identity management.
Build the industry open data ecosystem based on Open API and open architecture: API specification, manage and grow the Open AIR Certification program, and adoption of the IATA Open API Hub
Manage and enhance IATA’s developer portal providing all industry technology resources to support standard adoption.
Manage and grow a small team of digital and airline industry passionate, ensuring the team is aligned with the objectives of the department and driving efficiently the delivery of the digital program portfolio.
We would love to hear from you if
A university degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in digital transformation or data science.
Passion for technology with the objective to aim to bring innovative solutions that will transform the way business is conducted.
Practical hands-on experience with data and/or business modelling, with expertise in Business Process Modelling (BPMN), Data Modelling (UML) and XML/JSON API design
Good planning and project management skills; able to manage multiple disparate stakeholder expectations and able to consolidate the outcomes to deliver new messaging standards.Travel Required: Y
