      THE TEAM

      Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. This team is comprised of innovative nonprofit professionals who elevate our mission across the organization, focusing programs that are unique to wish granting.

      THE ROLE

      The Senior Manager, Music Industry Relations builds on opportunities in the entertainment and sports industries, to connect with the Make-A-Wish Foundation resulting in relationship building and wish fulfillment.

      WHERE YOU COME IN

      As the Senior Manager, Music Industry Relations you will:

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with the sports and entertainment industries, for overall support of the Make-A-Wish mission and vision.
      • This role will focus on the music industry area
      • Act as a liaison between celebrity handlers and chapters to determine what needs to be done to fulfill the stated request (wish or non-wish).
      • Plan and coordinate fulfillment of wishes involving sporting events and/or celebrities, influencers, public figures.
      • Salesforce database and runs reports to review pending wishes, completed wishes, and general workload.
      • Coach and lead a team member, coordinating and aligning goals, and prioritizing with the overall strategy of Make-A-Wish
      • Develop and update of chapter tools and resources relating to entertainment and sporting events and/or personalities.
      • Travels to various events and/or wishes planned to support and ensure all runs smoothly, fostering the family relationship as well as celebrity relationship management.
      • Secure local volunteers to support events and/or wish fulfillments where personal attendance is not feasible.
      • Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED

      • degree in communication, public relations or related field required.
      • 5 years of experience working in the music or celebrity industry and/or event planning.
      • 3 years of experience leading others.
      • Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience with Salesforce desired.
      • Prior experience working in a non-profit organization desired.
      • Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
