- Support and provide professional guidance to cross-functional Agile development squads
- Assess the performance of your team on an ongoing process and own the annual performance review activities for your team
- Advise and coach your firmware team on career development and continuous improvement
- Establish clear expectations, hold team members accountable and incentivize proactive issue resolution to deliver world class products on time
- Build a strong team with culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Drive and be a strong advocate for software "best practices" for design, coding, testing and configuration management
- Working with your staff and peers to deliver FW product development plans, including resourcing, prioritization, and schedules
- Working directly with product management, system architects, your firmware team, software team, and QA team to analyze new product definitions, identify FW design requirements, and testing strategies
- Facilitate management aspects of the assigned products including managing the firmware work backlog, schedules and coordinating FW activities across the development teams to accomplish committed milestones
- Ensure project roadblocks are identified, corrective action plans identified and executed to closure
- Identify and drive to closure process improvement efforts to improve organizational efficiency in the areas of deliverable quality, resource efficiency, code reuse, etc.
- Some projects will include responsibility to engage with external development partners including joint product planning
- Work with Technical support team to resolve customer related issues/bugs
- BS or MS in CS, CE or EE or related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience leading Software (SW) and /or Firmware (FW) development teams to deliver production quality software
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects through the entire SW/FW product life cycle from Architecture through Customer release and deployment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must work independently, be proactive, multitask effectively and exhibit strong influencing and leadership skills with senior management
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with developing low level firmware and hardware abstraction
- Embedded FW development and/or leader experience in performance critical applications
- Product development experience with lighting control devices
- Experience in Agile development practices, e.g.: scrum
- Experience managing/overseeing a development project for a high technology company
- Demonstrated ability to partner across organizational and team boundaries to develop and execute cohesive product plans

In this position, you will manage an embedded firmware development team and be responsible for supporting multiple Agile squads in the planning, execution and delivery of production quality firmware in support of lighting control products. You and your team will work with Program Management, peer firmware, Software team, Hardware team and the QA team to establish engineering schedules, resourcing and development priorities for the product. Your team will participate in cross-functional development with our software and hardware teams to develop leading edge lighting control products. This is an exciting opportunity to apply both technical and management skills to plan and execute firmware development.

The range for this position is $140,200.00 to $262,400.00 . Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
