      JOB SUMMARY: Own all media activation across Paid Social. Will lead the Orlando and Hollywood theme park Paid Social Media Team to buy and manage campaigns on Meta, Twitter, Snap and TikTok. Lead teams, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Serve as champion for media activation designed to grow the UDX business in select destinations. Responsible for the perfect management and execution of robust media budgets. Actively innovate and ideate across media channels and stay abreast of the developments in the media industry. Incorporate and utilize data and technology across platforms to drive performance of media activation. This position requires strong organizational collaboration, account management and leadership skills.

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

      LEADERSHIP

      • Independently oversee the media activation strategy and implementation for a specific destination of Paid Social campaigns.
      • Lead and manage a team in the development and implementation of programmatic and direct buy media strategies that drive business attendance goals.
      • Lead Media Buyers across paid media campaigns, including select destinations and international support when needed.
      • Provide ongoing training, feedback and coaching to direct reports to improve individual as well as team development.
      • Proactively bring new ideas, opportunities, and best practices to the media activation team.

      INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

      • Earn respect and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external media supplier partners and agencies to further the performance of media to deliver on media-driven business goals.
      • Be the voice of media and present confidently both in written and presentation form for all internal partners including:
        • Executive Leadership
        • Brand (Destination Leads)
        • Legal
        • Intellectual Partners
        • Creative
        • Resorts Marketing
        • Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations
        • Sales/B2B
      • Serve as key contact for internal stakeholder relationships for media activation across the organization.
      • Primary point of collaboration for Media Planning Team as it relates to all Media Activation for the select destination.
      • Proactively contributes to continuous process improvement by effectively identifying and addressing issues and coaching the team to support the workflow design and ensure there is consistent alignment between internal partners.

      CHANNEL STRATEGY

      • Adapt segment and communication strategies into channel-level tactical plans that clearly communicate the ‘why’ and ‘what’ to the channel teams for planning and execution and performance optimization.
      • Direct the management of monthly/quarterly/annual campaigns through partner and vendor communication, ongoing research and optimizations and collaborate with analytics on audiences, optimization and performance reporting.
      • Continually monitor, test, and evolve the media journey as needed to drive compounding efficiency and effectiveness to deliver on business goals.

      MEDIA OVERSIGHT

      • Responsible for budget accuracy and reporting to Media Strategy team who is responsible for reporting to internal financial stakeholders.
      • Responsible for reporting media results and recommend strategic changes to internal stakeholders in collaboration with Media Analytics team.
      • Attend and actively participate in business strategy sessions and various meetings as required.
      • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree: Marketing, Business Administration, or Computer Science or related required.

      EXPERIENCE: 9+ years’ prior hands-on experience media buying; experience working across various media types and platforms, particularly paid social ad buying systems; strong communication and collaboration skills; in-depth understanding of the media marketplace required; proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and standard media platform of products required.

      • 3+ years of people management experience.
      • Solid understanding and work experience with integrated multi-channel media planning and buying process.
      • Understanding of programmatic, search, social, native, video, display, and other online advertising channels (expertise in paid social is a must).
      • Experience collaborating with analytics teams and overseeing client analytics engagements.
      • Experience in leading measurement within Social Media Measurement Systems (i.e., Sprinklr).
      • Understanding and familiarity with as many of the below activation platforms as possible:
      • Meta Business Manager
      • Snapchat Business Manager
      • Twitter Ads Manager
      • TikTok Ads Manager
      • Sprinklr
      • Ability to provide “thought leadership” and creative problem solving when dealing with a client’s data and strategy challenges to deliver on business goals.
      • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
