- Responsible for the strategic planning of RBC’s physical network distribution (includes branches, business banking centres, Private Banking Offices and ATM) to boldly transform and redefine our network distribution and market coverage
- Lead and coordinate development of a forward-looking market strategy and recommendations aligned to RBC’s distribution strategy, ensuring connectivity and integration across multiple strategies and stakeholders informed by internal and external data
- Accountable for RBC’s physical distribution planning, real estate portfolio management, strategic lease review and renewals including maintaining an active pipeline of projects
- Drive optimization of the Real Estate portfolio using data and analytical planning tools to complete research and analysis of market and client behaviors in the context of market and location strategy to inform the future strategy of RBC’s physical locations, formats and footprint.
- Completes qualitative and quantitative market research for all new developments, competitor intelligence and understanding forces of change (demographics, economic, regulatory) and their impact to future planning and considerations to transform the physical network
- Develop presentations communicating key strategies initiatives and financial impact targeting executive audiences.
- Co-ordinate and support business case development to support recommendations and inform financial decisions
- Meet regularly with internal and external partners and key regional stakeholders to communicate strategy, recommendations and updates
- Perform special projects and analysis as required; Summarize and present findings/recommendations succinctly to executive audiences t
- BAA (Geography or Urban and Regional Planning)
- Previous spatial analytics and strategic planning experience
- Ability to translate in-depth insights into actionable recommendations
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and assume responsibility
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle pressures of deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes
- Demonstrated change leadership
- MA (Urban and Economic Geography)
- Prior Experience in Financial Services
- Experience in Real Estate development
- Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
