      We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, SAP. This is a hybrid position based in Colorado.


      POSITION SUMMARY

      The primary objectives for the Sr. Manager of SAP are the health, stability, security, and scalability of Summit’s SAP systems, the engagement and satisfaction of internal SAP customers, and the optimization of SAP investments. The Sr. Manager of SAP is responsible for critical ERP systems, applications, and team members aligned with Summit’s S4/HANA Platform along with delivery of AMS (Augmented Managed Services). The position oversees technical team members who support Summit’s SAP S/4HANA on RISE, SAP Cloud products, and third-party solutions integrated with SAP. Successful candidates must have experience leading high-octane, diverse, and dynamic IT professionals. In addition to leading an SAP Team and External Partners, the Manager also may act or aid in the Solution of Summit’s ERP systems and ERP integrated products. A strong customer service-oriented mindset is essential, and experience in the utilities sector is strongly preferred.

      PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


      • Assume critical leadership role for ERP systems, applications, and team members aligned with Summit’s S4/HANA Platform
      • Manage delivery of SAP application support, software development, and maintenance provided by internal and external partners, including adherence to SLA (Service Level Agreements) and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) adherence
      • Responsible for the SAP Production Support review, coordination, and resolution process along with communicating insights and analytics to leadership
      • Manage escalations from key stakeholders and keep all parties informed
      • Engage with and manage 3rd party partners including solution development, resource management, and contract negotiations
      • Partner with the Summit Project Management Office (PMO) to review, prioritize, and deliver strategic IT projects for Summit
      • Establish, document, and rollout standard processes and deliverables as part of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC)
      • Analyze complex business processes, research products, recommend strategies, and obtain buy-in from business partners.
      • Ensure products and changes are closely aligned with IT and business leaders with Technical Debt / TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) assessed
      • Build and present product roadmaps for future technology implementations
      • Design multi-state, multi-organizational, and multi-functional systems that can scale quickly, provide portability, and ensure high availability standards
      • Create, execute, and monitor IT policies and procedures for ERP use including security, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Participate in cybersecurity audits that are ERP centric. Plan and execute DR tabletop and real-world business continuity and recovery plans
      • Create KPIs and management dashboards to include system performance and availability, support metrics, and enhancement roadmaps

      EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Engineering is preferred or a combination of education and equivalent experience. MBA and/or project management certifications such as PMP, PMI, SCRUM a plus
      • Broad knowledge of SAP platforms including S4/HANA, RISE, IS-U, ABAP Development, UI5 and Fiori Development, Cloud for Customer (C4C), Field Service Management (FSM), and BTP
      • ERP implementation and enterprise support experience
      • 5+ years’ experience with enterprise-level ERP architecture and design
      • 5+ years’ experience leading senior level ERP technical resources and ERP support
      • 3+ years’ experience with large scale SAP S/4HANA design, implementation, and support or equivalent scale ERP platforms
      • 3+ years’ experience deploying SAP or equivalent ERP systems in the cloud preferably on Azure or AWS
      • Track record of moving on-premise technology stacks to the cloud a plus
      • Experience in the utilities sector (gas, electric, water) is strongly preferred

      • Influencer resulting in a trusted advisor relationship between IT and business partners
      • Robust presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
      • Great interpersonal and consultative skills with the ability to manage others
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and priorities
      • Not afraid to fail but always with a plan to remediate and improve
      • Attention to detail, especially with contracts, statement of work creation, and price negotiation
      • Capable of developing short and long-term plans for areas of responsibility and owns both successes and failures with humility and integrity
      • Knowledge of utilities industries and core business processes is a huge plus


      The salary range is $136k - $186k annually, depending on experience.
