- Resource Management:
Create and maintain functional Resource Models for portfolio planning. Work with departments to ensure time tracking data is timely and accurate to support resourcing. - Initiative Support and Strategic Project Management:
Provide strategic insight and project management for Product Development Science and Technology programs, conduct and implementation of functional initiatives. Drive Projects to achieve Pharmaceutical Development Science and Technology Strategy, Mission and Vision.
Build the AbbVie culture - Function Support: Facilitate staff and other large meetings.
- Finance: Act as conduit between Finance and functional areas to ensure departments operate within the established budget. Secure additional funding, if needed
Partner closely with Internals Finance Team. Primary contact for Internal Finance deliverables/questions. Assist with PDS&T Plan/LRP process. - Complete monthly functional headcount tracking/ LBE. Oversee Internal Budget.
- Identify resource conflicts, constraints, and issues, and provide recommendations for resolution. Support new efforts to evaluate and balance resources
- Receives Operations assignments from manager and/or suggests projects to manager, and is responsible for functional objectives on schedule and within budget largely unsupervised.
- Reviews key decisions impacting budget/timelines with Manager. Provides recommendations for resolution. Provides input into strategic decisions of the department.
- Builds and manages Functional area budget.
- Bachelor/Master of Science (BSc/MSc), or PhD in Science of Business-related Field, or equivalent
BSc with 7+ yrs
MSc with 3+ yrs
Ph.D. with 2+ yrs - Team, drug development, or project management related experience. Knowledge of project management practices, portfolio review, finance, and budgeting. General experience working on, or leading projects. Experience supporting clinical research/drug development and/or regulatory/pharmacovigilance/compliance department operations.
- Familiar with how organizations work, formal channels and informal networks, key policies, procedures, and the organization’s culture. Ability to builds and manage relationships with manager and group members. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. Salary: $121,000 - $230,000
