The Senior Manager, Patient Family Education Program oversees the strategic planning and comprehensive management of patient and family education initiatives within the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic goals, objectives, and tactics aligned with organizational priorities; facilitating the creation of evidence-based patient education materials; coordinating cross-functional teams to execute projects; and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness. This position requires strong skills in leadership and people management; program, project, and process management; and communication skills. This role serves an essential function in promoting patient and family engagement, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health, improving care and treatment outcomes, and enhancing the overall patient and family experience. Job Responsibilities: Plan and lead projects/teams within communications in alignment with overall department goals, resource allocation, and quality processes. Ensure all content and its presentation align with the goals and brand standards of the organization and appropriate regulatory requirements. Participate in onboarding vendors and other external stakeholders to ensure achievement of project/team outcomes. Develop advanced creative approaches, styles, and techniques for the team to implement. Keep up-to-date with technological developments and helps train staff on new hardware and/or software. Support development of team budget, and actively track and manage budget. Engage in hiring, performance management, and other people processes with greater independence. Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, mass media, or other communication-intensive fields with 8+ years of experience. Master's degree/PhD preferred. Minimum Experience: Extensive experience leading complex projects/delivery in terms of resources, vendors, and budgets. Experience managing teams in a supervisory/ leadership capacity. Prior experience in clinical setting / healthcare environment preferred Working knowledge of project management tools preferred Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Senior Manager, Patient Family Education Program. Explore our exceptional benefits!
