- Provide leadership and oversees the work of up to two direct reports; Build a high performing team, improving and continuously enhancing skills to support the evolving business needs.
- Delegate responsibility to others to meet team obligations for timeliness, quality, and efficiency; Monitors progress, measures results, holds others accountable for commitments, and takes accountability for results.
- Adapt a coaching style to meet diverse needs and provides ongoing feedback to improve performance, recognize achievements, and encourage the development of others’ potential.
- Provide strategic advice and evaluates emerging issues to identify business risks, challenges, and opportunities, and supports LCBO business units, senior management, the Board of Directors, and the Government of Ontario on matters pertaining to business transformation and strategic initiatives related to changes in the beverage alcohol marketplace.
- Lead projects and provide strategic advice to support the government’s objectives related to improving choice and convenience for customers, continuing to support local economic development and the promotion of local products, and the modernization of LCBO’s systems and operations.
- Make policy recommendations to government that impacts LCBO and other regulated businesses, including proposed changes to legislation or regulations, policies, programs, and reporting processes.
- Work with other divisions to identify, prevent, mitigate, and manage issues that could impact the LCBO’s ability to deliver services or its overall reputation with customers and the general public.
- Review policies and programs to assess implications for the organization, and supports the development of strategies to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders, government, the public.
- Liaises with a variety of internal stakeholders and recommends strategies to facilitate resolution of emerging issues and ensure implementation priority initiatives.
- Bachelor Degree in Public Policy, Business Administration or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of policy analysis and development, issues management, business principles and practices.
- Broad experience and demonstrated leadership ability in the public and/or private sector.
- Advanced strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of government processes, policy and operations.
- Strong analytical, evaluative and interpretative skills.
- Stakeholder consultation experience.
- Proven track record of collaboration, with a commitment to deliver the best results.
- Solid judgement and discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a track record of performing a range of tasks and issues simultaneously to a positive outcome and on time.
- Project management skills to effectively lead complex initiatives and deliver results.
- Proven adaptability to work effectively in a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups.

Job Posting Description:This is a hybrid role #LI-Hybrid.
Reporting to the Director, Policy, the Senior Manager, Policy and Transformation will lead a team of policy professionals to complete research and analysis. You will also provide strategic advice and policy recommendations on matters pertaining to business transformation and support strategic initiatives related to changes in the beverage alcohol marketplace. The Senior Manager will build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders to keep abreast of public policy developments and government and corporate issues related to the LCBO. You will review and evaluate government and trade proposals to assess impacts to LCBO policies and programs and working collaboratively with stakeholders to address any concerns.
