      Become a Senior Manager, Resource Planning and Performance (RPPM) at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll is responsible for resource planning and performance management within the desert region. The RPPM reviews long range work requirements and develops a regional work plan that meets the organizational objectives. They will look at resource availability and determining whether it is to be allocated to SCE or contractor resources, and assign as appropriate. The RPPM provides direction to the Regional Management Team on core philosophies and objectives and works with the RPPM core team to develop metrics that will drive the correct behaviors for performance management. The position has a matrix relationship to Distribution Construction & Maintenance (DC&M) RPPM and provides functional guidance to the Regional Project Superintendent and District Managers. Additionally, the RPPM has a matrixed leadership role with the district PRS (Performance and Resource Supervisor) and is responsible to make sure effective controls are in place within the region and will act as a process owner for many of the performance management strategies and policies to ensure effective allocation of financial and manpower resources required for all inspection, maintenance, customer request, and SCE projects. In addition, the RPPM will be responsible for the safety and scheduling of the regional training crew.

      A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

      • Movement of crews within and across Regions.
      • Regional workforce strategy implementation.
      • Regional Work Priority Strategy Implementation, as well as development and implementation of Regional short and long term strategies.
      • Schedule regional training crew for apprentice linemen development.
      • Coordinate, manage and execute major projects within the region, including DSP (Distribution Substation Planning) Infrastructure replacement.
      • Applicant Install, Installation Management Services projects and the capital and O&M maintenance program.
      • Work closely with project managers to develop and implement annual scope as required and providing bi-weekly status updates on projects.
      • Work collaboratively on cross functional teams and diverse projects.
      • Provide direction for work to be performed and desired results.
      • Track and forecast Capital and O&M budgets.
      • Provide oversight to the site specific EH&S compliance program.
      • Manage resources during storms within the region and across DC&M
      Qualifications

      The essentials

      • Five or more years’ combined experience managing, supervising an organizational unit or project management experience including scope, schedule and budget.

      The preferred

      • Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline.
      • 3 years of experience in project management.
      • Manage resource planning and allocation of work across organizational units, including contract work force.
      • Develop mid and long range forecast and strategy development to meet work requirements and resource needs.
      • Experience conducting performance management including developing and monitoring scorecards.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver information across all levels of the organization, some of which may be technical or sensitive in nature.
      • Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

      You should know

      • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
