      Earthjustice, the nationu2019s leading environmental law organization, seeks an experienced Senior Manager, Social Media & Influencers to drive planning, strategy, and execution with our robust team. Weu2019re looking for someone with experience at the intersection of advocacy campaigning and social media, including content/creative, influencers, paid media, and strategic communications.

      This position is central to planning social media and influencer campaigns, as well as overseeing day-to-day functions with other members of the social media team. The Senior Manager, Social Media & Influencers also works with other Digital, Communications, Development and Program staff to elevate the work of Earthjustice among existing supporters and new audiences.

      Responsibilities

      Team Management (20%)

      • In collaboration with Associate Director, lead major organizational social media and influencer campaign efforts in support of awareness, advocacy, and fundraising goals
      • Oversee day-to-day social media team functions with staff, freelancers, and vendors
      • Contribute to planning and visioning for the Social Media team and build connectivity across the larger Digital Engagement team

      Social Media & Influencer Strategy (40%)

      • Develop short- and long-term organic social media strategies, ensuring alignment with Communications & Digital priorities for rapid response and planned campaigns
      • Work cross-functionally with project leads, creative teams, communications strategists, and other stakeholders to translate Earthjusticeu2019s campaigns and focus areas into compelling social campaigns
      • Oversee development and execution of social campaigns that support KPIs and objectives, drawing on data and analytics to inform future planning
      • Partner with Marketing team on planning and implementation of influencer campaigns
      • Work cross-functionally with Editorial team and leadership to develop campaign message guidance and ensure cohesion across channels

      Content Development (20%)

      • Set tone and direction of message guidance and copywriting tailored to audiences, campaigns, outcomes, and goals
      • Collaborate with Design & Video staff on planning and concepting of social media creative, such as graphics, explainers, animations, and short form video
      • Provide constructive feedback to social media and production team members throughout the content creation process

      Workflow & Project Management (20%)

      • Collaborate across the team to develop plans that integrate Communications efforts such as press, paid media, web, SMS, and more.
      • Manage timelines and workflows, keeping teammates informed about priorities and proactively communicating about shifts in timeline
      • Maintain social media content calendar for social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, LinkedIn, etc.) and ensure alignment with other Digital & Comms team plans

      Qualifications

      • BA in Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of training and professional experience preferred.
      • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the field of social media, advocacy campaigning, and strategic communications.
      • Demonstrated experience in digital communications for nonprofits and/or campaigns
      • Background in overseeing content creation and knowledge of u201Csocial-firstu201D creative
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to maintain workflow with remote teams through proactive updates.
      • Ability to coordinate multiple projects with varying size and stakeholder engagement. Ability to multitask while staying organized and productive.
      • Background in team leadership, including management of people and projects. Comfort in holding coworkers accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
      • Understanding of how earned, owned, and paid strategies connect across channels; experience with earned media, advertising, email strategies a plus.
      • Knowledge of environmental issues preferred.
      • Agency experience a plus.
      • Awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds and orientations.

      Salaries at Earthjustice are determined by experience level and working location.

      Salary range in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY: $133,000 - $147,800
      Salary range in Washington, D.C., Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, and Los Angeles, CA: $126,500 - $140,500
      Salary range in Denver, CO and Philadelphia, PA : $119,800 - $133,100
      Salary range in Miami, FL, Bozeman, MT, and New Orleans, LA: $113,100 - $125,700

      Remote salary range will vary between depending on location: $113,100- $147,800
