      WHAT TO EXPECT:

      The MPM (Manufacturing Programme Management) department has responsibility for leading & co-ordinating all business functions with the objective of achieving flawless product launches, with achievement of time, cost and quality targets. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the E2E Manufacturing Programme environment.

      The Manufacturing Programme Management function hold a unique position at the heart of manufacturing delivery - from initial feasibility through to detail launch planning and delivery and into volume production. This role will bring you into contact with an extensive number of areas in the business and provide you with an opportunity to develop and utilise your transferrable project management skills in both the planning and delivery of our new products.

      ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Support delivery of Programme against overall timing plan (VPF/ BPP / EPP)
        • Support the planning and delivery of manufacturing industrialisation including installation and commissioning, prototype, pre-production build phases and J1 (in line with PCDS framework and deliverables)
        • Prepare accurate and objective technical status reports in support of programme/launch management (PST, MPAT, LMM,) meetings and senior programme gateway reviews (PBR, MPRR, NMLR, MSC, Pre Prod and Prod Committee)
        • Issue resolution and escalation
        • Assist functional areas within MFG to drive quality products & processes with robust input into PFMEA, high hurts, launch quality deliverables, scorecard etc
        • Identify and engage in continuous improvement & standardisation activities within the business improvement team
        • Lead the planning and coordination of quality focus area activities
        • Co-ordinate cost target development & programme cost studies within MFG
        • Analyse & compile manufacturing financial input in terms of CAPEX, OPEX, Tooling and launch costs
        • Co-ordinate Manufacturing responses to Programme PDLs and Change Management requests
        • Support the development and maintenance of the manufacturing programme budgets including implementation and management of SAP WBS structure.
        • Provide inputs for monthly finance summary (SOMP)
        • Lead Manufacturing Programmes Attribute Team (MPAT) or Industrialisation Squad (Transverse Team, Agile structure)
        • Demonstrate exemplary Customer First Principles to create a positive working atmosphere
        • Lead cross functional reviews to address programme issues using issue management tools

      WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

      Essential:

      • Experience of project management from Concept to Launch
      • An understanding of manufacturing concepts and strategies
      • Experience in using data driven problem solving techniques
      • Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
      • Proven ability to interface cross functionally and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
      • Proven ability to manage significant risks and issues
      • Proficient communication and organisational skill

      Desirable:

      • Good knowledge of PCDS manufacturing deliverables and their relationship to Product Design.
      • Experience of working in a new product launch environment
