WHAT TO EXPECT

The JLR Battery Assembly Centre (BAC) is one of the company's cornerstone projects in delivering its electrification strategy. As a BAC team member, you will be playing a fundamental part in this historic change, assisting the delivery of hybrid electric battery packs to our vehicle plants.

This is an exciting time to be part of JLR as it transforms to deliver the most significant shift in vehicle manufacturing for a generation.

The Material Flow team assists in the implementation of future projects, designing internal logistics operations processes, developing innovative packaging solutions, and being a centre point of communication between Manufacturing Operations and our Lead Logistics Provider.

Taking your place as a Senior Material Flow Analyst at the BAC, you will be integral to the development of the plant, and our rapidly expanding future.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the LLP (Lead Logistics Provider) to develop solutions as required.
• Collate reports to maintain Plan For Every Part data (stock requirements, usage & throughput data)
• Identify improvements to existing packaging solutions to promote optimisation and efficiency.
• Define packaging for new part introductions.
• Utilise lean manufacturing tools to develop best-in-class linefeed solutions.
• Support with problem-solving activities while carrying out investigations into production downtime and safety incidents.
• Lead meetings with logistics service provider to guarantee there is clear understanding and execution of daily activities.
• Develop KPI’s to identify areas of improvement for logistics operations, warehouse 5S, and other scorecard deliverables.
• Collate reports and analyse data using SAP, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Desirable:

• Experience in Plan For Every Part, Industrial Logistics and/or Warehouse operations
• Experience in Packaging Design
• AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage
• SAP user experience is a strong advantage
