      Job Description

      About the role:

      Guarantee continuity of supply for part numbered Auxiliary Materials in JDE including non BOM items. Ensure that supply is following scheduling requirements and the requested safety stock targets. Optimized Scheduling Planning for important components in consideration of Production Scheduling and tracking of assigned items from Supply/Demand and Order Placement up to release of material. Ensure supply continuity through proactive supply management reducing supply risks exposures. Ownership and updates of escalations and coordination of corrective action plans. Monitoring/maintenance of safety stock levels, slow moving items and Inventory turn rate. Secure information flow between supplier and team members (Supply Chain Planning, Global Sourcing and Procurement, Supplier Quality, Receiving and Inspection) on an operational level.

      How you will contribute:

      Essential duties:

      • Analyze raw material supply and demand against the cash flow requirements and current production plan including execution of procurement activities and daily supplier management for assigned commodities and products.

      • Manage buying decisions to ensure uninterrupted product flow. Coordinate product availability information externally and internally to ensure that all deliverable dates are met to reach facility service-level goals.

      • Review stock levels against manufacturing and production forecast; respond to changes in trends.

      • Maintain communications internally and externally to surface and resolve issues, which can impact operating efficiencies.

      • Support material requisition process and cycle count accuracy to ensure accurate Item Master information is maintained (i.e., usage rate and on-hand quantity).

      • Coordinate with accounting to ensure all required paperwork and approval documents are filed and ready for purchasing and payment.

      • Ensure regular root cause analysis to improve and to document/implement corrective and preventative actions where needed.

      • Initiate projects and participate in programs that eliminate non-value-added activities, increase quality and service, and reduce costs.

      What you bring to Takeda:

      Qualifications:

      • Must be proficient in written and oral English.

      • Experience in Materials Management principles. Supply Chain certificates.

      • General knowledge of GAAP/SOX and an understanding of internal accounting controls.

      • Manage through operational changes in process, environment, and resources.

      • Analytical, negotiation and team building skills.

      • ERP system knowledge - JDE preferred.\

      Education and experience:

      Required:

      • High School Diploma or GED plus 6+ years of related experience OR bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, operations, Supply Chain or other related technical field. and 3+ years of related experience.

      • Experience preparing & implementing policies and procedures.

      • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with multiple projects and products.

      Desired:

      • Experience in formulation and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related Materials Management core processes.

      • Experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry

      Physical Demands:

      In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.

      Working Environment:

      • Must be able to adhere and work according to Work Policy - hybrid work (60% of the time at the office).

      • May occasionally visit clean room and warehouse environments and wear special garments and personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs) due to safety requirements in specific areas.

      • No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.

      Other Job Requirements :

      • Some travel to visit suppliers may be required - less than 20%.

      Important Considerations

      At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

      • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

      • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

      • Work in a cold, wet environment.

      • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

      • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

      Base Salary Range: $81,900 to $117,000. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.

      The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
