What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide medical expertise and assessments to support patient safety throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with various functions including Research and Development, Risk Management, Quality, and Regulatory
- Evaluate safety signals and author high-quality safety assessments based on clinical data
- Respond to safety inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with evidence-based medical safety input
- Maintain proficient knowledge of assigned products, therapies, and relevant scientific literature
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4+ years of clinical experience (2+ years with an advanced degree)
- Active healthcare license with clinical knowledge and relevant patient care experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a biological science, preferably in healthcare or a medical profession
- Solid understanding of medical specialties, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cranial and/or spinal surgical specialties
- Familiarity with regulatory guidance from the European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMEA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to adapt to new document systems
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and communicate medical assessments effectively
